Noragami Aragoto Reviews

Image
Welcome back, mina-san! How did your Christmas go? To those who aren't familiar with this anime, let me clarify that Noragami Aragato is the sequel to Noragami, with Noragami being season one and Noragami Aragato being season two. For the sake of those who knows nothing about Noragami, here is a short passage on the general concept of the story, but not the plot. This anime centers around Yato, a minor infamous God without a shrine who is poor and has a dark past. In Noragami, most Gods own at least one Regalia (Shinki), a spirit that was named by the God and now belongs to that God. Regalias, when not in battle mood, take on the appearance of humans but transform into different objects when called by their masters. Some transform into weapons like swords and guns, others into every day objects like a paper fan or even a piece of lingerie. ♦  ♦  ♦  ♦  ♦ Before anything else, I would like to first state that this season was at least three times better than season one. Sakurasou no Pet na Kanajo Reviews

Slight spoilers ahead; if spoilers don't bother you much, this should be pretty safe.  ► Summary ◄ Sakurasou no Pet na Kanajo (also known as The Pet Girl of Sakurasou), is about a freshman named Kanda Sorata , who was forced to move out of his school dorm after being caught breaking the rules by keeping a pet cat. The principal gave him two choices: to either get rid of the cat or to move to Sakurasou with it, and he chose the latter. Sakurasou is apparently a separate hostel which houses the more 'troubled' kids of the school, and a lot of negative rumours surround it. Eventually, Sorata moved in and got acquainted with the three existing residents of Sakurasou; Mitaka Jin , a womanizer who keeps several girlfriends at once (some being married), Kamiigusa Misaki , an extremely talented anime-maker who appears to be high on sugar every second of the day, and Akasaka Ryuunosuke , a genius computer geek who develops his own programs and is hardly ever seen leaving his

Love Live! School Idol Project Review

Spoilers !!! Because I suck. Before we start, this is more of a discussion than a review. After all, Love Live! is one of those animes I have no idea how to review, mostly because I feel so neutral towards it. The only reason why I typed this anime into the search bar in the first place was because I found out that my friend would be cosplaying Umi during Comic Fiesta in December. I thought it would be nice if I could get an insight into how her character is like. Although there was nothing I particularly liked about this anime, I definitely did not dislike it either. Okay, maybe saying there was nothing I liked about it isn't being fair to it. There are still a few things worth mentioning. Firstly, I liked how Love Live didn't happen. I thought I had the whole plot figured out. First they recruit all the members as shown during the opening theme (which they did, the OP is a large spoiler by itself), they practice hard (done that too), join Love Live (did not), th

Kuroko no Basuke Season 1 Reviews

Hello folks! Anyway this review is not spoiler free. ► Things I liked ◄ 1. Kagami's Character Development. I noticed that there is a certain pattern to how anime characters are. Firstly, we have the overly immature and thickheaded one, most likely found saying things like "I can do everything by myself" or "I don't need your help", and I expected Kagami to be one of those people. Although he was that way in the beginning, the whole stubborn act quickly went away before it became annoying. He still fought for himself and is still basically a hot-tempered person (hence maintaining a huge part of his personality), but he grew to care about those around him and learnt that they win as a team. This is a smooth and gradual development without him making a 180 degrees change. His goals remain the same and his burning passion for basketball never changed, but he's a lot less reckless and listens to instructions.   2. This quo

This review is NOT spoiler-free because I don't know how to review things without giving spoilers, be it books or movies or shows. ► Things I liked ◄  1. Mika's internal conflict. Mika hates humans because they experimented on him and his family. He also hates vampires because they killed his family. Good. No sides taken. Everyone is ugly and cruel. 2. Yuu's character development , although this is expected because of how they overly projected his I-don't-care-about-anyone-I-just-wanna-kick-some-vampy's-ass attitude. Seeing Yuu changed from "I don't care about making friends" and "I don't need friends to kill vampires" to "I'm sorry I made all of you worry" and "I will not leave my comrades behind" was nice. (But still, expected, so this point could also be fit into the 'Things I Disliked' segment.) 3. Binding contract with demons. I actually liked this because it indicates that whoe
